Leave no stone unturned

I have a hunch that some of you may wonder why I link to Kate at SDA. Well, please read this.

My favourite people don't have all the answers. That's why I keep trying to read a little wider than where I'm comfortable.

That's a great article. I've added a link to your post on my site.

ok, so he's home and thus I may not get a response for awhile, but I was wondering why this was outside your comfort zone.

Of course, I think a conservative Canadian is interesting as in the states we are told there is no such animal, and socialized medicine is the best (grin).

CG - not this article, but her blog in general. That rough-and-tumble atmosphere I was talking about earlier. I've been trying to figure out myself, why I keep reading SDA, and I'm coming to realize that I'm actually a lot more conservative than I thought. It's just the packaging that makes me uncomfortable. But my skin's getting thicker. I just hope I don't grow a hard rind on my heart.

Well, laura, I was MS. Liberal for a long time. I suppose I see myself now as way more conservative, and yet I have some very liberal leanings. Or probably more Libertarian. I think both the left and the right are invested in telling people what to do, how to live their lives, and that is something I am not into.

That and I couldn't get around that I just didn't think it was moral to accept money that was demanded of another at the point of a gun (tax money directly but also money that is tax exempt and/or a tax write-off).

But I'm with you on being more comfortable some places than others based on how people act there, so I totally get that.
